Here for your consideration is a brand new stock of an usual Nevada Rose Dumortierite cabochon. This type of Aluminum Iron Borosilicate with Feldspar exhibits semi chatoyant Magenta, Mauve, Purple, Pink, Red rather than the common blue normally found in Dumortierite. Discovered by geologists in northwest Nevada, this material is also known for its bright salmon pink/red white semi translucent color, this one however is SOLID. Nevada Rose produces many unusual patterns with unique “needle” and fibrous inclusions that makes for a great variety of finished pieces. The only Dumortierite with these colors in the world! This cab is a select higher grade of the mineral species and has some flash streaks throughout.
